Stake Conference—The focus of Saturday’s adult session was on service-The focus of today in general was ministry, doing your part and lifting where you stand. This has been important to me because I have spent too much time focused on myself and have much more motivation to look past myself now and more ideas how to do so. I will take lots of work but with God’s help, I can change… I just loved the focus on how service was truly just an expression of love I know that that is not new information, just something I hadn’t really thought of. Though it has been many hours since Stake Conference occurred, I just remember the feeling of love that I felt. My needs and my specific plans are in the hands of the Lord and I know that I follow Him, and His promise is sure that I will never fall. Therefore, it becomes expedient to lift where I stand and help bring others to Christ. Service does not come separate from love. We serve because we love. Take no thought for the morrow, what you have to do, where you want to go, etc. Live your life in such a way that you can listen to what the Lord needs you to do. Do the small and simple things to prepare yourself today to serve the Lord.

Today, I was touched mostly by something that came to me in Relief Society, it is something that I’ve already learned, but it was a touching, personal reminder. We had been given a list of quotes, and I loved many of them, and thought how I wanted to put them up on my wall, and read them often so I would never forget them. Then I thought about how I had this experience so often, and it was impossible to remember everything all the time, etc. Well, it hit me then that that is why we go to church each week, why we have stake and general conferences, why we are asked to read and study the words of ancient and modern prophets. We need help to remember. My home teachers stopped by today and we were talking about this a little and one mentioned a quote, roughly that the natural man forgets who he/she is, and that is why they sin. They forget who they are, where they are going, etc.
Sacrament Meeting we discussed the Book of Mormon, its power unto conversion and direction; it was really good and I want to be better at studying it.
Mission/Temple prep we discussed the Plan of Salvation, I want to re-read D&C 76:50-70, and study just what Celestial Glory really is, etc. Come to know our personal Savior by learning of Him through studying His words in the Scriptures and His plan for His creations, us.
Relief Society was really inspired today. We discussed 3 things in relation to improving visiting teaching. 1. Develop a stronger relationship with God- tat we are comfortable having a true conversation with Him, and that He knows and cares about us. We can do this by spending quality time with Him. 2. Develop a stronger relationship with yourself and with others, remembering to have compassion and forgiveness for yourself and for others, yes. You are imperfect, you make mistakes, you misunderstand promptings, you fall hard and often, but you are going great. You are on the path, you are getting better. Keep going. Keep learning. Keep trusting. Keep working. 3. Learn to Listen. I think this is an excellent way to give true and meaningful service; by asking inspired questions, by remembering that Little Things Count, that the Spirit will guide you as you seek His counsel and you will do good in the world. Listen with patience and with love, when you focus on others. Then, Bishop Sloan came in and talked a little about modesty, the stake is seeing an alarming number of immodest wedding dresses/etc from former stake members, and the general lack of modesty worldwide influencing us is a problem. We discussed that our personal modesty is a reflection of our personal identity and shows who we are, how we respect ourselves and others. Today was an amazing day and I have remembered and felt so much. J

Fast and Testimony focused on the Book of Mormon and of Jesus Christ, it truly motivated me to work a little harder on my testimony and faith in my Savior. Work hard and be faithful, not giving up hope, though I do not yet know my path for certain.
Then, I taught the lesson in Mission Prep, about obedience and diligence, how we just need to try a little harder, to be a little better, it was a great discussion and the Spirit was there.
RS we discussed the Priesthood, and I thought how important it is to me to marry a worthy priesthood holder, and though I do not know how I will manage the adventure, I know I am not left helpless or alone.
Stake Fireside: BYU Young Ambassadors “I Believe in Christ”

Oh, how I needed this message today. It has brought me so much hope, I wish I had time to write all my notes that I took while listening to their testimonies and songs of Christ. Open your broken heart wide and let Him in. Pray with all energy of heart that you will find Him, for He is searching for you.  One of the songs that touched me the most was a primary song, whose name is currently escaping me, but it is so beautiful, He Sent His Son, to live for us, and now we are here to live for Him, have faith, have hope, live like His Son, help others on their way. That’s all He asks of us. J We can go forward in such a cause. You matter to Him so, so very much. You hold so much value and worth; you are never forgotten or alone. Do not listen to those voices. They are there and sound convincing. The Almighty God has not left you comfortless, alone, forgotten, or neglected. Remember your worth, and choose today to let your heart be comforted concerning your personal Zion, it shall not be moved out of its place, but your Loving God has given you treasures in this life to love and to help, do not neglect them, choosing instead to wallow in self-pity. You know you are safe and loved, now go and help others find it too. He knows your wounded heart and has laid a path at your feet but in order to get anywhere, you must now walk forward. Help those in your path, do all you can. This does not require anything less, or more, than your best. Just keep working hard. You can do it, and have faith and strength sufficient to get there. Yes, waiting is sometimes hard, and scary, but you can keep going today. You can choose to let go and have faith in Him today. He will take care of you. Oh sweet, the joy this sentence gives, “I know, that my Redeemer Lives.” We may all come to know Him, turn to Him, and choose to run to Him now. Do not delay. You will find Him, you will find peace, and you will find the strength and comfort you need to fulfill the desires of your heart. You are precious and treasured, and have a great work to do. Go forth, love and serve God, He sent you, His Daughter, to help others on their way. The things that hold worth in this life take time and effort. Choose today to give it, to learn, to grow, to serve.
